Avvyr has built-in AI tools that help you create and refine product content faster. AI features are embedded directly into the product editing controls — no separate tools or workflows needed.

Available AI actions

Generate text

Create product content from scratch using AI. The generation takes into account the product's existing data (name, attributes, category) to produce relevant, on-brand text.

To generate text for a field:

1. Open a product and navigate to the field you want to fill.
2. Click the AI Tools menu on the field.
3. Select Generate.
4. Optionally provide a custom prompt to guide the generation.
5. Review the generated text.
6. Accept or edit the result.

Translate

Automatically translate product content from one language to another. This is especially useful when managing a multi-language catalog.

To translate a field:

1. Enter the content in your primary language.
2. Click the AI Tools menu on the target language field.
3. Select Translate.
4. The content is translated from the source language automatically.
5. Review and adjust the translation as needed.

Improve

Refine existing content by having AI improve the writing style, fix grammar, or adjust the tone.

1. Click the AI Tools menu on a field that already has content.
2. Select Improve.
3. Review the improved version.
4. Accept or revert to the original.

Where AI tools are available

AI tools appear on localized text fields throughout the product editor:

• Name — Generate or translate product names.
• Short text attributes — Product subtitles, feature highlights, meta descriptions.
• Long text and HTML attributes — Detailed descriptions, specifications, marketing copy.
• Numeric attributes — AI can assist with number-based content.

The AI menu button appears next to the field input, identifiable by the sparkle or AI icon.

Using the AI prompt modal

When you select Generate from the AI menu, a prompt modal opens:

1. Enter your instructions in the text area. Be as specific as you want:
   • "Write a compelling product description for an e-commerce site"
   • "Generate SEO-friendly meta description under 160 characters"
   • "Create a bullet-point list of key features"
2. Click Generate.
3. The AI-generated content replaces the current field value.
4. You can undo or edit the result.

Attribute-level AI

In the attribute list, each attribute row with a compatible type shows an AI Tools button. This works the same as for base fields — you can generate, translate, or improve attribute values directly in the attribute editing context.

For long text and HTML attributes, clicking the expand/edit button opens a dedicated editor modal that also includes the AI Tools menu.

Best practices

• Start with a good name and basic attributes — AI generates better descriptions when it has context about the product.
• Review all AI output — AI-generated content should always be reviewed before publishing. Check for accuracy, brand tone, and completeness.
• Use translate for efficiency, not replacement — AI translation is a great starting point, but have native speakers review translations for nuance.
• Be specific in prompts — The more detail you provide in the generation prompt, the better the output. Mention target audience, tone, word count, and any specific points to cover.
• Iterate with improve — Use the improve action to polish content after an initial generation, rather than starting over.
