Getting Started
Inviting Users
Add team members to your Avvyr store and assign the right roles and permissions.
Once your store is configured, you'll want to invite your team. Avvyr supports two types of users: loginable users who access the admin, and reference users for scheduling and payroll.
User types
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Loginable user | Receives an email invitation, creates a password, and can sign in to the admin |
| Reference user | A record for scheduling, time tracking, and payroll — no login access |
Inviting a loginable user
- Go to Settings → Users
- Click Invite user
- Fill in the user details:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| First name | The user's first name |
| Last name | The user's last name |
| Their email address — the invitation is sent here | |
| Roles | One or more roles that define their permissions |
- Click Send invitation
The user receives an email with a link to create their password and complete registration.
Users can also set up two-factor authentication (2FA) after their first login for added security.
Roles and permissions
Roles control what each user can see and do. When assigning a role, you can preview the permissions it grants. Common roles include:
| Role | Access level |
|---|---|
| Super Admin | Full access to all features and settings |
| Admin | Manage products, orders, customers, and most settings |
| Manager | Operational management — products, orders, inventory |
| Staff | Limited access — POS, order fulfillment, basic tasks |
| Warehouse | Inventory and fulfillment operations |
Only assign the Super Admin role to users who need full control, including the ability to manage other users and billing.
Creating a reference user
Reference users are useful for staff who work in-store but don't need admin access:
- Go to Settings → Users
- Click Add reference user
- Enter their name and employment details
- Optionally assign a PIN code for POS authentication
Managing existing users
From the Users page you can:
- Edit roles — Change a user's access level
- Disable access — Temporarily suspend a user without deleting their account
- Reassign business units — Control which locations a user is associated with
Bulk user import
If you need to add many users at once, use the bulk import feature:
- Go to Settings → Users
- Click Import users
- Upload a file with user details
- Review and confirm the import
