Initial Store Setup

Configure your store name, default language, currency, and general preferences after first login.

After logging in for the first time, your store has a basic configuration created during provisioning. This guide covers the general settings you should review and adjust before adding products or inviting team members.

Accessing general settings

Navigate to Settings → General from the left sidebar. This page contains your core store configuration grouped into sections.

Tenant settings

These define the identity and defaults for your store:

Store nameThe display name for your store, shown in the admin and used in communications
Default languageThe primary language for your admin interface and product content
Time zoneUsed for order timestamps, reports, and scheduling
Your tenant code (the URL slug like yourstore) is set during provisioning and cannot be changed.

PIM settings

Product Information Management settings control how your product catalog behaves:

Variant modeChoose between simple products only, or enable variant support for products with size/color options
Default attribute templateThe attribute template automatically assigned to new products
Auto-generate handlesWhether URL-friendly handles are created automatically from product names

Sales settings

Control the default behavior for orders and sales:

Order number prefixA prefix added to all order numbers (e.g. AV-)
Order number sequenceThe starting number for order IDs
Low stock thresholdThe inventory level that triggers low-stock alerts

POS settings

If you plan to use the Point of Sale module, review these defaults:

Receipt header/footerText printed on every receipt
Default payment methodThe pre-selected payment method at checkout
Require PIN for refundsWhether staff must enter a PIN to process refunds
POS settings can also be overridden per business unit and per register. The settings here are the defaults.
