Attributes
Define and manage the flexible product fields that make up your catalog data model in Avvyr.
Attributes are the flexible, customizable fields that define your product information beyond the standard fields like name and SKU. They let you model any kind of product data — from simple text descriptions to structured select options, rich HTML content, and completeness tracking.
How attributes work
Attributes form a three-layer system:
- Attributes — Individual field definitions with a type, appearance, and settings (e.g., "Color" as a select field, "Description" as HTML).
- Attribute templates — Collections of attributes assigned to products. A product's template determines which attributes are available for editing.
- Display groups — Visual groupings that organize attributes into sections on the product editor.
Features of the Attributes section
- 11 attribute types — Short text, long text, select, multi-select, date, HTML, dynamic, completeness, integer, numeric, and boolean.
- Appearance options — Control how each attribute renders in the UI (dropdown, checkbox, toggle, rich text editor, etc.).
- Localization — Any attribute can support multiple languages.
- Validation — Set required, unique, pattern matching, character limits, and value ranges.
- Storefront integration — Configure filtering, sorting, search indexing, and product card display per attribute.
- AI-powered content — Enable generative AI on text attributes for automatic content creation and translation.
- Completeness tracking — Special attribute type that measures how complete a product's data is.
